Work Experience

So I spent my week doing work experience within the menswear department of a fashion depot. 

It was a brilliant experience, for not only did I get a feel within an working environment (which I haven't had the opportunity to do so beforehand) but I also got to see inside the fashion industry. I have never really considered fashion as a career option beforehand, but after this week, I am definitely fascinated by the whole idea of it. 

I didn't really know what to expect before. I guess I thought it may be a bit more like The Devil Wears Prada, but to my relief, it was nothing like that all. 

Whilst there, I learnt (as well as how to use a scanner and photocopier) how to use the program Adobe Illustrator, and created with tutorials, simple basic clothing (as seen in the picture). Though they're not brilliant, nor very exciting, it was great fun creating them and playing about with the tools within the program.

After creating clothes, I was advised to try and create other things, since I'm considering graphic design as a career rather than fashion, so using another tutorial, I created this:
